Introduction
The Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip is escalating and has been ongoing for more than six months, as is the genocide of the Palestinian people. The humanitarian situation has worsened in all aspects, especially that of women and children, as these two are the most affected group on the social, developmental, and humanitarian, and all aspects of women’s lives. Thus, there was an urgent need for a relief project that meets some of the urgent and special needs that every displaced woman needs. The Displaced Women’s Bag Project provides her with some of her daily basic needs.
Project Description:
Providing women with personal bags containing a number of emergency supplies that will try to cover parts of their needs amid the current brutal aggression.
Reasons for the Project:
- The large cases of women being displaced as a result of the ongoing Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.
- Women moving to live in tents that are not prepared for habitation and lack the basic necessities of life.
- The need for daily personal hygiene supplies, especially given the cases of disease outbreaks among the displaced.
- Tens of thousands of women were displaced from their homes without clothes and any life necessities. They also couldn’t carry any of their own belongings, including clothes and other items.
- The many living difficulties faced by displaced women, especially now that life has halted and there is no source of income.
Main Objective:
Providing a special bag for displaced women at displacement centers and clothes for their newborns who were born during the war.
Subsidiary Objectives:
- Providing the minimum amount of personal care for newborns and displaced women.
- Maintaining the general health of displaced families, especially women and children.
- Covering part of the necessary humanitarian needs of displaced women and children born during the war.
- Alleviating the burden of displaced women given the difficulty of providing their own supplies.
Target Group:
Displaced women at displacement centers.
Target Area – Project Location:
The project is aimed at women in all displacement areas in the Gaza Strip.
Project Activities:
- Communicating through the displacement center committees to choose the target group.
- Gathering the complete data of the target group and their whereabouts.
- Determining the required items and preparing a price quote for the required bag.
- Determining the best place for supplement in accordance to specifications and based on the price quote.
- Supplying the required quantities and preparing the bag.
- Distributing the bag to the target group based on prior data.
- Documenting the project in the media and documents.
- Preparing the project’s final report.
