Iftar Project in Gaza

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, the Al Noor International Foundation for Women and Children implemented an Iftar project in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza in cooperation with the Egyptian diaspora in Turkey.

This project comes in light of the difficult conditions experienced by the Gaza Strip during the year-and-a-half-long war and the ongoing stifling blockade. The Al Noor Foundation organized a group Iftar for 550 women and children from families of breadwinning women who lost their husbands in the war. They were brought together at an Iftar table that was prepared by charitable hands, providing them with warmth and peace amidst these harsh conditions.

This project is part of a series of relief initiatives launched by the foundation, which includes: the Women’s Kit project, the Children’s Kit project, orphan sponsorship, the provision of food parcels, shelter for breadwinning women, and a number of new projects planned for implementation during the holy month of Ramadan.

In conclusion, Al Nour Foundation emphasized the great need and the necessity of concerted efforts to support the people of Gaza, especially breadwinning women whose husbands are either martyrs or prisoners, which forces them to assume the roles of both father and mother.

In the same context, Al Nour Foundation called for continued support for all projects for breadwinning women, including the establishment of shelter camps and the restoration of destroyed homes, to help them continue their lives under these difficult circumstances.

We provide urgent relief, psychological and social care, then rehabilitation and training for women affected by conflicts and wars in the Middle East.
